Happy 50th to Vans!
Todd Francis and I were honored to fly out to Austin, Texas to work with the fine folks at No Comply for an afternoon showing of some of Todd’s various visual offerings. Thanks to Elias, Josh and the No Comply family and everyone who came out. It was great to meet you all! Thanks also to Zach and Eladio at Vans along with Kimmy for working with us on this shindig with one of the best skateboard shops out there. The installation is up until April so go and check it out and support skateboarder owned shops.
Todd Francis has an upcoming mid-day event at No Comply in Austin, Texas during SXSW, hosted by Vans. Original artwork along with his book, “Look Away” (Wins Publishing), his signature enamel pin by The Rubbish Rubbish, prints from his, “Thanks A Lot” exhibit and a custom t-shirt and mug for this event will be available.
Oh yeah, Todd will be there too so give him a hug, feed him a waffle, pour him a cup of joe and get him to sign something cruddy for yourself.

STUCK TO ME

Mark Oblow is proud to have his first solo opening at Factory 413 in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, January 14 from 6-10pm.
An acute eye for photography, fashion and design, a natural trajectory towards utilizing all of his creative tools to make his own artwork has been a constant and evolving thread throughout his life.
He draws inspiration from his connections and relationships with people whereby turning his captured images into multi-layered, multi-media pieces which includes photography, stencil, block prints and resin, incorporating them all into his work. He continuously explores…expanding and immortalizing the people, places and objects he captures into stark and beautiful finished pieces.
Mark Oblow was born and raised on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and sponsored for both surfing and skateboarding in the 80’s (Vision, Independent, OJ Wheels, Jimmy Z). In addition, Oblow’s creative spark was clear when he picked-up the camera and had his first paid photograph published in Thrasher Magazine as a teenager.
His namesake brand, “moblow” was released this past fall in 2015 with great reception.
