Job Title: Independent Regional Sales Rep

Permanent Distribution is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated, and experienced Independent Regional Sales Rep to share in the exciting momentum of a new family of brands. This is a great commission-based opportunity that is full of growth potential for someone with previous Sales Representation experience in the action sports industry.
We are looking for applicants with at least 3-5 years of experience as an established and successful Sales Rep that can fuel the growth of our brands by utilizing the dealer databases, social networking, grassroots marking, product clinics, and sales presentations. We have an ever-increasing account base, but are seeking a representative that has additional retailer relationships and shares our passion for offering something unique to the marketplace.

  • Develop a strategic Sales Plan to increase sales volume for each brand within Permanent Distribution
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is met
  • Act as a brand ambassador by representing our entire distribution house in a dynamic and inspiring manner
  • Regularly interact with existing and potential retailers, offering thoughtful product assortments and partnership incentives
  • Set up appointments for face-to-face presentations and/or virtual line showings via email or phonecall
  • Introduce each and every prospective stockist in the region to our brands in order to provide a foundation for future growth
  • Continually monitor inventory needs of accounts while providing solutions as challenges arise. Work closely with retailers to obtain and process fill-in or at-once orders and collect pro-book orders prior to each seasonal booking deadline (if applicable)
  • Establish authentic relationships with store employees, overseeing product clinics and communicating brand stories to sales associates
  • Oversee regional marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with retailers to ensure payments are properly submitted
  • Wisely utilize digital resources such as social networking and email to introduce retailers to our brands as well as provide a positive point of interaction with Permanent
  • Manage the Authorized Dealer Database, certifying the accuracy of contact information and updating it regularly
  • Communicate clearly and frequently with the Director of Sales and President to convey overall sales performance


  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in growing a brand through focused sales efforts
  • Experience working in commission-based positions and the ability to maintain consistent levels of motivation through goal setting
  • Must have retailer relationships in specialty channels and the ability to develop new business
  • Strong understanding of local skate culture and ability to communicate with hardgoods buyers
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience within the industry
  • Minimum of 2 years geographical experience in the territory
  • Must currently reside within the specified region
  • Must have ability to analyze profitability and other financial data and make decisions based that data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe PDF, and email
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to handle all account needs and process necessary documentation (e.g. sending digital catalogs, order forms, invoices, purchase orders, payment collection documentation, etc.)
